Seaside Fire Department’s current daily staffing consists of:

  • 1 Division Chief (DC) in Command Vehicle (CV) 6201
  • A four-person Engine Company in 6211
  • A four-person Truck Company staffing 6271

6201, 6203, 6200 - are CV equipped with all necessary equipment, maps, plans, forms, and other items necessary to operate an incident from the back of the built-in command module.

6211 and 6212 - these identical "sister" engines are 1500 GPM pumpers that were built back to back in the Pierce, Wisconsin plant and feature 525 HP Detroit engines.

6222 is a 1500 GPM Pumper.

6231 is a 2003 Pierce Hawk 4 Wheel Drive Type III wildland firefighting vehicle. It has seen action on wildland incidents in Monterey County and throughout the State of California as part of the California Master Mutual Aid Agreement.

6271 is an E-One 75' quint. It features a 500 HP Detroit engine and a 1500 GPM pump, full compliment of ground ladders and a 75' all aluminum aerial ladder.

6221 is a 1500 GPM pumper. It currently serves as our proposed second station back-up Engine.

6261 medium-duty rescue. It is used for extraordinary calls requiring heavier rescue equipment.  It provides a full compliment to vehicle extrication and rescue, and full Firefighter rehabilitation.

6291 is a one-ton utility vehicle currently serving as a back-up for the Haz-Mat tow vehicle.
